Synthesis and reactions of new N-bridged heterocycles derived from 3-substituted-4,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazoles

Abstract

3-Aryloxymethyl-4,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazoles <b>1</b> are synthesized and condensed with benzil, phenyl pyruvic acid, ethyl acetoacetate and carbon disulphide to yield 6,7-diphenyl-3-aryloxymethyl-1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-<i>b</i>/-1,2,4-triazines <b>3</b>, 6-benzyl-3-aryloxymethyl-1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-<i>b</i>]-1,2,4-triazin-7-ones <b>4</b>. 3-aryloxymethyl-6-methyl-7 ,8-dihydro-1,2,4 triazolo[ 4,3<i>-b</i>]triazepin-8(9<i>H</i>)-one <b>5</b> and mercaptotriazolotriazoles <b>8</b>. The rearrangement of triazolotriazapinones <b>5</b> to pyrazolo[3,2-<i>c</i>]-1,2,4--triazoles <b>6,7</b> has been carried out. The structures of newly synthesized compounds are characterized by elemental analyses, IR, ¹H NMR, and mass spectral studies.
