| Abstract: | Hydrogen is the 'preferred fuel for use in the present day fuel cell systems developed for various commercial applications. Of all the potential sources of hydrogen, natural gas and methanol have many advantages since the process of conversion of these primary fuels into hydrogen has been described as a simple, most efficient and economically viable route yielding higher volume percentage of hydrogen. This paper reviews the state of the process, the catalyst materials for the reforming reaction and the reaction conditions. |
