| Abstract: | A novel dimethoxo-bridged diferric salen derivative-1 has been synthesized as a model for binuclear non-heme iron proteins, and is shown to be an efficient non-heme catalyst for the aerobic epoxidation of alkenes in the presence of isobutyraldehyde. |
