| Abstract: | The pyrrolizidine alkaloids of Cynoglossum furcatum have been isolated and characterised. They are neo coramandaline 1, a new pyrrolizidine ester alkaloid and echinatine 3. Neo coramandaline is formulated as 9-O-(-)viridifloryl laburnine on the basis of spectroscopic measurements and hydrolysis. |
