| Abstract: | A simple and efficient solid state transformation of 2-(p-arylideneaminophenyl)-1,8-naphthyridines 1 to 2-(p-aroylaminophenyl)-1,8-naphthyridines 3 using m-chloroperbenzoic acid (m-CPBA) at room temperature has been described. The method is preparatively convenient and useful. |
