| Abstract: | Reaction of 3-aryl-2-sulfanylacrylic acids 1a,b with α-arylhydrazono- nitriles 2a-d and 4a-d affords the several new derivatives of 5-arylidene-2-arylazothiazol-4-one 3a-h and 5a-h, respectively. The thiadiazolidin-4-one derivatives 8a-d and thiadiazolo[2,3-a]triazoles 10a,b are obtained via the reaction of 1a,b with dialkyl azodicarboxylates 6a,b and N-phenyl- 1,2,4-triazole-3,5-dione 9, respectively. Chemical and spectroscopic evidences for the structures of the new compounds are presented. |
