Theoretical methods for predicting the coil length of the binder component in fancy yarn and the coil length of the covering component in covered yarn have been developed on the basis of geometrical models of both these complex structure yarns produced by hollow spindles technology. The structural indices of initial components as well as the technological parameters of yarn man ufacturing which influence the geometry of complex structure yarns are also di scussed. The comparison of theoretical and experimental results shows rather good coincidence.en_US
