The photoinduced changes in conductivity of polyvinyl esters having pendant azohenzene groups and polyesters with azo groups in the polymer backbone are described. Reversible photoincrease in conductivity was observed in all the cases. A reasonable explanation has been offered for the photoeffect on conductivity.en_US
