| Abstract: | Based on the critical analysis of the information available in literature, a reaso nable value of constant has been found out for the calculation of yarn diameter in jute cloth from the value of grist. Using Peirce’s geometry of the cloth structure, the boundary of the closest construction of jute cloth has been shown and the zones of typical sacking and hessian cloths are identified for engineering similar structure. |
