| Abstract: | A new method for lignin estimation using Fourier Transform-Infra Red (FT-IR) spectroscopy has been developed. The infrared absorbance due to specific lignin peak is used for lignin estimation. The new method is quick, reproducible and does not require handling of hazardous chemical like conc. sulphuric acid as in the chemical method. |
