dc.description.abstractAcrylic fibres have been dyed with berberine (a yellow dye extracted from the roots of Berberis aristata) which is the only known basic dye of natural origin. Results indicate that the dye has high affinity for acrylic but the dyeings are not very fast to light.en_US
