The present study is concerned with the preparation and investigation of ionic transport of the mixed system (CuI)x( 3Ag2O-2CeO2)100-x where x = 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 mol %, respectively. These materials were prepared via the solid state reaction route involving melting and quenching processes. The extent of ionic conductivity in the various compositions of the above system was determined by evaluating their silver ionic transport number. The observed silver ionic transport number in the above system indicates that the electronic conduction in these materials is negligible as compared with the ionic transport. en_US
