The effect of Pr substitution on the suppression of superconductivity is studied by X-ray diffraction and neutron diffraction in the samples prepared by solid state reaction route. The results indicate the presence of Pr3+ in the substituted compounds, reduction in the puckering in CUO2 planes and decrease in the electron-phonon interaction resulting the changes in the bond lengths. en_US
