| Abstract: | The key to the gradual evolution of woven fabric manufacturing process has been traced to the introduction of the gripper shuttle, application of electronics and widespread use of composite materials in the modern looms. The cascading effect on the development of peripheral hardware and software as also on the yarn preparatory systems has been highlighted. Further innovations in some core areas should make the 'Computer Integrated Manufacture' a distinct possibility. |
