Studies Carried out on the heavy ion central region of VEC are described. A semi-analytical approach has been used to optimize the transmission of the beam in the hole lens. Conditions necessary for waist-to-waist transfer of the beam in the hole have been obtained. The orbits of a variety of heavy ions have been studied by optimizing various central region parameters to get centered beam.en_US
