Abstract: The effect of temperature on the intensity of anti-stokes luminescence in Pr Pr3+ -doped ZBLAN fluoride phosphor has been investigated in the temperature range 30-240oC. Initially, as the temperature is raised, an increase in emission is observed and after a particular value of temperature, the emission intensity decreases rapidly. The increase in the intensity of blue phosphorescence with increasing temperature is due to an increase in the probability of the non-resonant multi-phonon relaxation process.
