A study was conducted on anaerobic digestion of distillery effluent under varying organic loads using cowdung as the seed material. The BOD removal efficiency reached a maximum of 94.6 per cent and the biokinetic constants were evaluated using modified Monod’s equations. A mathematical model was developed using multiple linear regression technique for the prediction of BOD removal efficiency and the analysis of the data, according to the developed model which gave a maximum deviation of ± 4.4.en_US
