| Abstract: | With a view to persue the Government of India policy to augment the coal based power plants in the country, generation of fly ash as waste material is nearly 110 MT per annum. The disposal of this waste material is a matter of great concern from the ecological and environmental points of view. On the contrary, there will be shortage of conventional construction materials very soon as the top soil cannot be available in abundance. In view of the above, Central Fuel Research Institute developed methods to gainfully utilise the waste material as construction material and building bricks. The paper delt with the various aspects of construction material. |
