Abstract: Plant viruses infecting orchids affect their value in orchid market by reducing their yield and deformed flowers etc. They evoke different symptoms on orchid plants. A large number of viruses have been reported from orchids, of which two are the major ones viz. Cymbidium mosaic potexvirus and Odantoglossum ringspot tobamovirus.
