Abstract: An experiment was conducted during 2000 and 2001 to study the effect of the transplanting time and nitrogen doses on plant growth and bulb development of the double tuberose cultivar. Twelve combinations of three treatments of transplanting time i.e. 10th February, 10th March and 10th April and four levels of nitrogen i.e. 0, 100, 200, and 300 kg/ ha were arranged in factorial randomized block design at research farm. Results revealed that the significant results were obtained for early tillering in bulbs, plant height and number of leaves due to 10th April transplanting time and 300 kg nitrogen per hectare. Maximum number of bulbs and weight of tubers per plant were obtained from the same treatment combination.
