| Abstract: | The conventional ‘National Standard’ of DC voltage is maintained as a bank of saturated standard cells. Presently it is maintained by newly established automated bank of Zener reference standard. In the present paper we discuss its establishment, properties and traceability. Furthermore, we discuss about dissemination of unit of volt through traceable calibration of Zener reference standard (secondary standard/working standard) their sources of uncertainty in measurements, uncertainty budget and their evaluation based on the ISO 17025 guidelines (Type A and Type B evaluation). |
