| Abstract: | The emergence of new information technologies has great impact on the future of libraries in the electronic age. The present paper discusses various factors involved in transformation of traditional libraries into electronic one, the advantages of electronic library and also librarian's role therein. The Pilot Project at INSDOC for developing an electronic library is also mentioned. |
