Title: Citation analysis study of authors of the literature used by research scholars in Zoology at the Ibadan University, Nigeria
Authors: Nweke, Ken M C
Issue Date: Dec-1989
Publisher: NISCAIR-CSIR, India
Abstract: The study identifies 1,055 authors cited 1,376 times in the zoological theses submitted to the Ibadan University, Nigeria between 1970 and 1975. The graph of R (n) against log n conforms entirely with the linear ideal of the Bradford-Zipf bibliograph. Core authors comprise 154 authors who were cited at least two times each. The core authors together were cited above 35 per cent of all citations. P.S. Corbet, the most cited author in the theses, was cited 14 times. Other Bradford's parameters for authors/citations relationship are determined and discussed.
