| Abstract: | Investigates by interview method more than hundred persons at their residences as a part of a large project, for assessing the information needs of a semi-urban community. Analyses the respondent's newspaper, magazine and book reading interests, later being further analyzed into age and sex-wise distribution. Focuses on their favorable reading times and points out the probable role of the public libraries in this regard, since most of the people of the communities of this type are yet to realize the advantages and benefits of a free public library service |
