| Abstract: | Presents
the findings of a study conducted with 66 Indian scientists using questionnaire
and personal interview methods as to how they organize their personal
scientific collections. It was found that besides personal notes, published
articles and books, majority of the respondents (53% to 90%) did not possess
any other item in their personal collections. The methodology of organization was not up to the mark and easy for satisfactory retrieval of documents. Based on the data and information provided by the respondents, some workable suggestions have been provided for organizing personal collections to the best possible level under the prevailing facilities and circumstances. |
