dc.description.abstractPresents the results of a survey conducted using questionnaire method. Of the 22 degree college libraries 16 responded. The data elicited relates to the qualifications and grades of the librarians; total staff (professional and non-professional) ; holdings; no. of periodicals subscribed; classification, cataloguing and charging system followed; access  seating capacity; no. of books issued to teachers and students; budget; etc. The problems of the libraries have been highlighted and remedial measures suggested.en_US
