dc.description.abstractThis is the first communication on the findings of a continuing study on the causes of change of titles of periodicals. The study is based on a sample of about 1000 periodicals which have changed title at least once. In this communication the nature and pattern of change of about 200 titles have been analyzed under five broad categories.en_US
