| Abstract: | Growth of Physiology as a distinct subject is traced and the development of the literature of the subject discussed. Taking the Annual Review of Physiology as the source journal a ranked list of 165 most cited journals Is presented and compared with previous lists. The 9814 citations, which form the data base, are also analyzed from various other angles. |
