A study of the time-lag between the date of submission of a paper and its publication has been made. This is based on a sample of 207 randomly selected articles from ten selected periodicals in agriculture and allied sciences. The opinion of the editors of these ten periodicals, regarding the factors influencing this time-lag, have been presented. It is also statistically proved, with the same sample, that there is no relation between the time-lag and the bulk of a paper as the correlation coefficients (in months) and the number of pages are found to be non-significant on testing.en_US
