dc.description.abstractThe recent rapid growth of new terms in documentation is discussed. It is held that they are mainly due to the Interdisciplinary nature of documentation and information retrieval field, and the current active phase of machine application in this field. A glossary of about 60 terms, mostly names of retrieval systems, is presented bringing out their salient features. References have also been added for each of the Items.en_US
