This work presents cold welding technologies by aluminum bars overlapping side. The welding variants presented are direct, with thickened head and with intermediary metal. Welding by overlapping side is achievable, but its principal disadvantage is the appearance of notches on the welding edge, notches which can reach up to half of the bars diameter. Notches will determine decrease of mechanical resistance and lower real current flow section for the electrical conductors. For these reasons cold welding by overlapping side is recommendable only when the classic butt pressure cold welding is not possible. en_US
