Adsorption technique has been used in the estimation of drift losses through the cooling towers of Central Air-conditioning Plant (CAP), BARC. CAP uses two types of drift eliminators for minimizing the drift losses. Using molecular sieves as adsorbent, the efficiency of eliminator I and eliminator II was estimated to be 80.12 and 99.25% respectively. The additional water saving due to the use of eliminator II instead of eliminator I is estimated to be 59.28 m3 per day.en_US
