Effects of ultrasonic agitation during electroplating of nickel with 5 g/L of colloidal silica have been reported. A comparison has been made between the deposits obtained from mechanically agitated bath and an ultrasonically agitated bath. Ultrasonic agitation provides more uniformly dispersed deposits and the micro hardness of the deposit is found to be increased.en_US
