| Abstract: | Keeping in view the day-by-day increasing problem of environmental pollution and its impact on health, the dependency on synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers needs to be reduced urgently. These could be replaced by eco-friendly formulations or techniques. Soil-borne diseases, which cause a major damage to crops, need to be identified timely using modem biotechnological methods. A discussion is presented on the use of organic matter, microorganisms, Mycorrhiza, Rhizobacteria, etc. along with biological control. |
