| dc.description.abstract | A new sesquiterpene glycoside, multifidoside C 1, along with four known compounds have been isolated from the roots of Pteris multifida. By spectral evidence, the structure of the new compound has been elucidated as eudesm-4 (15)-ene-1β, 8α-diol 8-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside. The known compounds are identified to be plumbagic acid 2, 1,5,8- trihydroxy-3-methoxyxanthone 8-O-D-glucopyranoside 3, eusiderin 4, and neesiinoside B 5, All compounds except 3 have been initially isolated from Pteris multifida. | en_US |
