| Abstract: | A simple and efficient method has been developed for the rapid synthesis of 1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-5-phenyl pent-4-ene-1,3- diones 3a-g in a single pot reaction under microwave irradiation. These β-diketones are further converted into 2-styryl chromones again by microwave irradiation. |
