dc.description.abstractCarbonized coirpith was effective in the removal of toxic metal ions such as Hg(II), Pb(II), Cr(VI) and orthophosphate and dyes such as rhodamine-B, acid violet, procion orange and congo red and paraquat in aqueous phase systems. Quantitative removal of dye and toxic' metal ions and around 75% removal of phosphate and paraquat were observed.en_US
