Extraction of uranium(VI) was found to be quantitative at the equilibrium pH approximately equal to 6.5 and 4.8 with 0.1 M benzoic acid and 0.1 M cinnamic acid (HR), respectively. Based on the slope analysis, the extracted species in both the cases are found to be UO2R2(HR)2 Synergism was obtained with the binary mixture of the above two extractants. The pH0.5 values increase with the increase in the concentration of Na2SO4, NaSCN, and CH3COONa. But in case of NaCl, the pH0.5 values first decrease and then increase with the increase in concentration.en_US
