Acacia senegal L is a naturally occurring tree species of arid Rajasthan. Fresh and stored seeds and pods are eaten by local inhabitants. From stored seeds and pods 17 different mycroflora of a 8 genera were isolated. Incidence of Aspergillus flavus was consequently higher in stored seed samples (28-48%) in comparison to pods (20-38%) and 38 isolates were found to be toxigenic and produced aflatoxins out of 78 isolates screened. Out of 51 samples, 39 found to be naturally contaminated with aflatoxins.en_US
