The study of multiple soap wash on jute/polypropylene blended fabrics reveals that jute fibre proportion in weft should be below 40% for certain end-uses. On successive washing, tenacity decreases both in case of textured and untextured fabrics, the decrease being greater for textured fabric. On multiple soap wash, breaking extension increases in most of the untextured fabrics whereas it decreases in case of textured fabrics. Compliance ratio improves for un textured fabric and deteriorates for textured fabric on soap washing.en_US
