The impact of rotor and opening roller speeds on the configuration of fibre in yarn has been studied using the tracer fibre technique. An increase in opening roller speed first increases and then decreases the spinning in-coefficient whereas an increase in rotor speed invariably reduces the spinning-in-coefficient and yarn tenacity. It is observed that the leading hook extent is more than the trailing hook extent.en_US
