The hysteresis behaviour of enzyme-treated jute and mesta fibres has been studied and it is observed that when these fibres are treated with a combination of cellulase, hemicellulase and pectinase enzymes (7:3:2 units/g of fibre), the moisture retention capacity is increased which, in turn, improves the spinnability of these fibres.en_US
