| dc.description.abstract | Twenty arylazo derivatives of 5-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-2-phenylamino-1,3,4-thiadiazole and its 3-ethyl derivative have been prepared for use as dyestuffs. The effect of the nature and orientation of substituents in the diazonium component on the colour of azo dyes is discussed.
