dc.description.abstractPotassium permanganate has been used as a bleaching agent for polyester/cotton (48:52) dhoti fabric. The physical and chemical properties of fabric bleached by this process are comparable to that of fabric bleached by the conventional method. The permanganate process is economical as well as non-polluting.en_US
