Nine bisazo disperse dyes, 2-methyl-7-hydroxy-3,6-bisarylazopyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-5-ones, 2-methyl-5,7-bis(morpholino and piperidino)-3,6-bisarylazopyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines and three bisazo disperse reactive dyes, 2-methyl-5, 7-dichloro-3,6-bisarylazopyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines, were prepared and their dyeing performance on polyester and polyamide was assessed. The dyeings on polyester had yellow, orange and orange red shades with low pick-up, moderate light fastness and good sublimation fastness and the dyeings on polyamide had orange shades with low pick-up and moderate light fastness.en_US
