Six monoazo disperse dyes, 2-methyl-3-arylazo-6-phenyl-7-amino- and 7-acetamido-pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines, were prepared by the condensation of 3-methyl-4- arylazo-5-aminopyrazoles and phenylcyanoacetaldehyde and subsequent acetylation. The dyeing performance of these dyes on polyester was also assessed. The dyeings on polyester had deep yellow shades with excellent pick-up, moderate light fastness and good sublimation fastness.en_US
