Abstract: The structure of hybrid rotor-ring spun yams has been compared with those of ring-spun and rotor-spun yarns of analogous characteristics using tracer-fibre technique and SEM analysis. Hybrid-spun yarns, being nearer to rotor-spun yarns, share some properties of ring-spun yarns and occupy an intermediate position between ring- and rotor-spun yarns.
