Abstract: A simple non-destructive method for the quantitative analysis of polyester/cotton and polyester/viscose blends has been reported. The method involves the measurement of coefficient of light attenuation of blends and its component fibres using fibrograph. A regression equation has been suggested for determining the percentage of individual component in the blend from the coefficient of light attenuation. The values obtained by this method are in agreement with the actual values.
