The nature of added irregularity due to draft on the slivers of the drawing stages was examined and a relationship between added irregularity and draft worked out. Models of the combined effect of draft and doubling were verified by experiments. The irregularity of finisher card sliver had a little effect on the irregularity of drawing slivers. A suitable distribution of draft of the drawing stages is suggested to reduce irregularity of finisher drawing sliver.en_US
