dc.description.abstractThe effects of acetylation on the structure and properties of acetylated sunhemp fibres were studied by scanning electron microscopy, tensile testing and IR techniques. Acetylation did not affect the tensile strength much, but smoothened the fibre surface and reduced hygroscopicity.en_US
